　　Founded in 1908, the Certified General Accountants Association of Canada (CGA) is known for producing the best trained professional accountants - accountants who understand business and know what makes business work. The program is an educational program which emphasizes competencies in: audit, financial management and accounting, strategy, taxation and analytical problem solving.

　　The CGA Program adapts to your own learning style, career goals and lifestyle (see A Program like No Other). The Program is challenging but extremely rewarding. You will emerge highly trained, confident and - best of all - in demand.

　　The whole CGA program contains 19 courses, from foundation level, advanced level, to professional level (see Program Structure). It gives you the greatest flexibility—in the entry requirements, studies, work-life balance, and career opportunities. You could get transfer credits based on your academic history (see Application for Advanced Standing).

　　The two final examinations in the CGA program utilize an integrative comprehensive analytical approach to solving business problems through case analysis. This approach requires candidates to fully understand and integrate knowledge across disciplines, to demonstrate professional judgment, and to communicate recommendations clearly. 　　CGAs work throughout the world in industry, commerce, finance, government, public practice and other areas where accounting and financial management is required. CGA clients range from major corporations and industries to entrepreneurs. Their expertise is valued in the public sector, government and the corporate world.
