　　CGA Named to IFAC Committee

　　A CGA has once again been named a voting member of IFAC’s Small and Medium Practices (SMP) Committee, for a three-year term beginning January 2013. Dawn McGeachy, FCGA, LPA had been a technical advisor to the SMP Committee for many years and has now agreed to represent CGA-Canada as a voting representative.

　　The SMP Committee provides input to the international standard-setting process from the SME and SMP perspective; increases participation of SMPs and SMEs in global public policy and regulatory discussions; fosters the development of tools and resources for SMPs, and raises awareness of the importance and value of SMEs and SMPs in the marketplace.
