　　CGAs are broadly trained professionals skilled in financial management, leadership and innovation.

　　CGAs must hold a bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent education before entering the PACE program. A growing number of students are entering the PACE program right out of university. Students who do not already have a degree have the option of enrolling in the CGA degree partner programs.

　　PACE-level elective courses provide depth in areas of corporate/small-medium enterprises, government/not-for-profit, information management and public practice. Candidates must prove that they can apply their skills in real-world situations and be strategic.

　　To earn the CGA designation, students normally require 36 months of supervised work experience, but in all cases require 24 months. They may meet the experience requirement in any business sector and in a variety of fields.

　　The work experience options available to students are exceptionally varied. Students can work in the private sector, government and not-for-profits, and CGA public practice accounting firms. Indeed, the scope of opportunity is a key attraction for many students. The resulting breadth of experience is a key attraction for many employers.

　　CGAs maintain their skills through mandatory continuing professional development, and are governed by a comprehensive code of ethical principles and rules of conduct.
