　　Laurentian University's 60-credit online Master of Business Administration (MBA) has been developed for online delivery in partnership with CGA-Canada. It is designed for CGAs and senior students in the CGA program who want to further their career with the powerful combination of a CGA designation and an MBA degree.
 

　　Approved by the Ontario Council on Graduate Studies (OCGS), this English-language program is based on the well-established and recognized on-campus MBA that Laurentian has offered for over 20 years. The CGA MBA has no on-campus requirement — this gives students maximum flexibility to complete coursework wherever and whenever they choose.
 

　　CGAs are eligible for advanced standing in the MBA program and qualified students in the CGA program are able to work on their MBA and CGA designation concurrently. The design of the MBA program recognizes the learning that takes place through experience in business and through academic or CGA studies — in this program, there is no need to repeat concepts already mastered. The focus is on the business topics and skills that motivated accountants need: organizational behaviour, marketing, operations, research, and strategy. Electives, including advanced courses for individuals with a business undergraduate degree, accommodate a wide range of student interests and backgrounds.
 

　　In addition to the key educational components that shape the foundation of the MBA, the program promotes teamwork and builds the leadership skills necessary to succeed in today's competitive business environments. Web-based course delivery encourages independent study and interactive learning, and knowledgeable faculty foster a progressive learning environment in which students are able to closely interact with both their instructors and an extensive network of management peers.
