　　Measuring Up: A Study on Sustainability Reporting in Canada
 

　　CGA-Canada, in cooperation with the CGA-Canada Research Foundation, has released a new report on the emerging field of corporate sustainability reporting.
 

　　The report, titled Measuring Up: A Study on Sustainability Reporting in Canada, is based on a survey of more than 3,000 Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange companies. It examines the economic, environmental, and social management and performance of these companies, and explores the way in which publicly-traded entities in Canada are reporting on sustainability practices and initiatives.
 

　　Respondents answered questions on their current annual and sustainability reporting practices, as well as the driving forces, key stakeholders, issues, and future expectations with respect to corporate sustainability reporting. Data collected from the survey was analysed, and the report makes recommendations for the adoption and implementation of sustainability reporting in Canada.
 

　　This project is part of a new survey and opinion poll program established by CGA-Canada and the CGA-Canada Research Foundation. The program’s aim is to gather insight and gauge public interest on topics of growing relevance to Canadians. It will also identify areas of future Association research.
