　　Federal Budget

　　CGA-Canada provides in-depth commentary on the Canadian federal budget as a central component of its national advocacy role.

　　The organization participates in pre-budget consultations conducted by the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance, bringing credible and informed views to the budget-making process. CGA-Canada promotes a balanced approach to federal public finances, and supports ongoing fairness in taxation, retirement of the debt, and accountable spending.

　　Members of CGA-Canada’s Tax and Fiscal Policy Advisory Group attend federal budget lock-ups, providing timely and invaluable insight to CGAs and the general public immediately following the budget’s release.
