　　For more than a decade, CGA-Canada has been working to ensure CGAs are able to practice public accounting across Canada. In 2012, CGA-Canada affected the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) panel, which resulted in Ontario recognizing the qualifications of out-of-province CGAs and eliminating the final barrier to mobility for CGAs authorized to practice public accounting.
 

　　CGA-Canada has recently launched a number of new services including the Need an Accountant website and mobile application, allowing the public to easily search for CGA public practice professionals. We also introduced the Accountants Coming to Canada website, which helps internationally educated accountants become CGAs.
 

　　In 2012-2013, the “We see more than numbers” campaign reinforced the value of CGAs among business leaders and hiring advisors. A survey by Ipsos Reid showed positive growth in increasing awareness, improving perception among hiring professionals, and differentiating the skills of CGAs.
 

　　CGA-Canada is known for its leading-edge research on social issues and its active participation in national accounting and assurance standards setting. We bring relevant and timely findings to the table to influence public policy and raise the profile of the CGA designation. Recent activities include reports on youth unemployment and occupational fraud, as well as a campaign to simplify the tax system.
