　　The year is shaping to be a steady recruitment market as confidence returns to the financial services sector.There is more activity at all levels both within the banks and the non-banking organisations

　　In 2014, Q1 was relatively quiet although the recruitment market picked up noticeably in Q2. While there was activity across the board, there was particular demand for good candidates with Internal Audit, Forensic Audit, IT Audit and Risk Management skills who would often have multiple opportunities with Hong Kong listed companies or foreign multinationals.

　　Banking & Financial Services
　　Evolving regulations continue to have a big impact on recruitment within the Banking & Financial Services market in Singapore. As such, there has been a significant increase in recruitment for various banks into the “Control Groups” which includes Risk, Compliance, Legal, Oversight and Audit functions.
　　
　　Finance & Accounting
　　The demand for high calibre Finance& Accounting professionals has been consistent in the first half of 2014 with competition at the junior level being more intense, and midsized high growth businesses continue to drive demand with new hubs in Singapore.

　　Demand for qualified Accountants and Finance professionals have remained consistently low throughout the first half of this year. The push towards outsourcing/offshoring of non-essential accounting functions remains strong and we continue to hear that clients are looking to create shared services centres in lower cost locations.
