　　Foundation level for professional bodies
　　For those considering the CPA Australia designation, we would recommend completing the Membership application as a first step as the assessment may determine the foundation units you choose.

　　If you simply wish to complete a foundation level unit (or units) without intending to progress to the professional level, you need only complete the following.

　　CPA Australia is excited to be offering the CPA Program foundation level with your member body.
 
　　The foundation level offers those without an accounting degree the opportunity to demonstrate accounting knowledge recognised by a global accounting designation whilst providing an alternate pathway to the CPA Program professional level.
 
　　Formalising your knowledge in accounting practices may support you in your current role or assist you to take on new challenges.
 
　　There are eight units within the foundation level, each designed around the cornerstones of the accounting and finance environment.
 
　　Individuals who wish to progress beyond foundation level towards a formal CPA Australia designation will need to complete a Membership application. CPA Australia will then prescribe the steps required to reach full membership. This may include completing one or more foundation level units before entering the professional level.
