感叹句（exclamatory sentence）
感叹句通常有what how引导，表示赞美、惊叹、喜 悦、等感情。
what修饰名词，how 修饰形容词，副词或动词，感叹句结构主要有以下几种：

感叹句的省略形式为：
what a clever boy (he is)
定义：表达强烈情绪（喜、怒、哀、乐、惊、恐等）的句子叫做感叹句。
强烈情绪的表达通常有下列三种方式：
（a）使用感叹词；
（b）只用情绪感觉的语词，例如：
water water quick
（水！水！快！——如救火或救人时。）
what taste
（这是什么味道啊！——如吃到怪味时）
（c）使用“how…”或“what（a）…”的句式，例如：
how beautiful you are helen
（海伦，你是多么美！）
what a beautiful flower it is
（这一朵花多么美！）
本句式的主语动词也可以省去以突显情绪的强烈感，例如：
how cruel（they are）
（真是惨绝人寰！——如听到绑票的撕票案等。）
how beautiful （these flowers are ）
（这些花多美啊！）
（d）使用简短的陈述句配合音调也可以表达感叹，例如：
you are kidding
（你在开玩笑！——表示惊讶）
i hate you
（我恨你！——表示愤怒或绝望）

在感叹句中，如何判别使用what还是how？
1. 感叹句通常用what，how引导，what修饰名词，how修饰形容词或副词。
a. how+ adj./adv.+ (主语＋谓语＋其他)！
b. what + a/an +单数可数名词 + (主语＋谓语＋其他)！
what + 可数名词复数 + (主语＋谓语＋其他)！
what + 不可数名词 + (主语＋谓语＋其他)！
2. 将陈述句改为感叹句：一断、二去、三加、四改变
一断：找到陈述句的主谓成分后断开句子
eg she is / a famous band.
what a famous band she is
二去：线后部分如果是形容词或副词，要把修饰形容词或副词的词去掉。
eg jack chen is very famous.
how famous jack chen is.
三加：在线后部分的前面加上感叹词如果线后部分的中心词是名词，就加what；如果线后部分的中心词是形容词、副词等，就加how。
四改变：改变需要变的大小写字母，如句首字母，还要改变句末符号“！”。
3. 选择感叹句完成感叹句，通常采用“一断二辨”的方法。
一断：在名词（或形容词、副词等）与代词（或名词）之间断开。

二辨：辨别一下断线前的中心词的词性，如果是名词，就选择what，如果是单数可数名词，应在感叹词what与名词间加冠词a或an，如果是可数名词复数，应使用what且不加任何冠词，如果词性为形容词或副词，就选how。

c. how exciting the film is
